Chief Executive Officer

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Ken Pollock, EcoAid’s Chief Executive Officer, sets the strategy, vision and direction for the company. He ensures that the strategic and operational plans and policies of EcoAid are being carried out consistently and that EcoAid’s organizational performance is at the highest and most efficient level possible.

Ken has over 30 years of experience in data processing and information technology. He has worked in both consulting and management roles for universities and private-sector industries. Ken served as Vice President of Information Technology at Wright State University and earlier at Arizona State University. In that role, he managed all of the university’s technology services. An educator himself, Ken was a Professor and Chair of Chemical Engineering for the University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

He has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. Ken is also a community activist. He is a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) as well as a mentor for children through the Arizona Quest for Kids Organization. In addition, Ken currently works as a volunteer with the Phoenix Police Department. When there is time for leisure, Ken enjoys photography, videography, and magic.

Chief Operating Officer

Chief Operating Officer

George is the Chief Operating Officer who manages the daily internal and external operations and procedures of EcoAid. Most importantly, George is the founder (and founding spirit) of EcoAid. EcoAid grew from his passion for the environment and it is his vision that started and continues to fire the direction of the EcoAid organization. His vision for EcoAid is a multifaceted one. At the most specific, EcoAid consults and educates our clients on their green house gas emissions, creates custom GHG tracking tools, and provides high quality carbon offsets. George's objectives do not stop with the business arena. His overall goals are both global, involving reforestation projects in Lebanon among others, and local, such as sponsoring the ASU student club, EcoAid Now.

Working in partnership with the company's CEO, George ensures that EcoAid and its staff are functioning in accordance with the company's strategic operations plans. He monitors all services provided by EcoAid and continuously updates the organization's performance systems. In doing so, George assures that all of EcoAid's clients are receiving optimal service, at all times.

George's background is varied. He is a restaurateur and a real-estate investor who grew up in a family business and was basically “in training” for most of his early life. It is this real-world background that gives George his unique perspective and ability to channel his energy into achievable projects. His hobbies include reading, traveling and collecting ancient Roman coins.

Education Director

Education Director

Dr. Skip Pollock is responsible for the training branch of EcoAid. Her role is to develop, organize and manage a training and development program that incorporates the latest scientific research and business practices in this fast-growing field of Green Industry. The training program is aimed at the continuing education of staff, customers, and involved stakeholders.

Skip received her PhD in psychology from the University of Miami, Florida, and has over 25 years of experience in various aspects of psychology, including teaching, management training, and organizational consultation. Skip has served as a Professor of Psychology at Mesa Community College, Wright State University's School of Professional Psychology, and Miami-Dade Community College. She is a licensed clinical psychologist and she spent over 20 years in clinical practice.

Skip serves as an Arizona Statewide Trainer for the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) program. She also teaches T’ai Chi at Mesa Community College, which is one of her passions. When all is quiet she loves to bury herself in a good old-fashioned “who-done-it” mystery.

Chief Financial Officer

Communications Director

Dr. Gary Pollock, EcoAid’s Chief Financial Officer, is primarily responsible for managing the financial risks of the corporation. He is also responsible for financial planning, data analysis, overseeing the preparation of budgets, and monitoring expenditures and costs. Gary has worked with First Republic Investment Management since 2004. Prior to this, he was the co-founder and President of Bay Isle Financial, where he managed the operations and investment process for individual clients. Gary co-founded Bay Isle Financial in 1986 and built their managed assets to over $1 billion by 2000. Prior to co-founding Bay Isle Financial, he developed his analytical skills through a doctorate in engineering followed by almost twenty years of financial, management, and planning experience at Chevron Corporation. Gary has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from McMaster University in Canada and is a Certified Financial Planner.

Gary has been a founding board member of the Presidio School of Management, and a past president of the San Rafael School Board in addition to being on the boards of several local arts groups. Gary enjoys handball, reading about chaos theory and math, wine tasting, and art.
